Wschód-Zachód. Przestrzeń wzajemnego przenikania się kultur

This monograph includes a number of papers in the fields of literature, cultural studies and linguistics, making a creative attempt to merge selected aspects of the heritage of the East and the West. The volume which we hand over to readers brings together works of researchers from numerous academic centres in Poland and abroad. Owing to the thematic scope of the research, the publication has been divided into two parts:
I. Language and literature in the paradigm of contemporary culture.
II. Discourse of Russian literature in contemporary culture.
The second part of the monograph is devoted to the interpretation and reception of Russian literature in contemporary European culture. Most texts in this section are based on a comparative analysis of works belonging to Russian and Polish literature.
